The privacy of our clients, our staff and our business associates is very important to us. Elders Forestry is committed to protecting privacy. We support and are bound by the National Privacy Principles.
Use and Collection of Personal Information
Elders Forestry may obtain personal information in a number of ways for the purposes of providing services to investors, financial advisors and other parties. Where Elders Forestry collects data for a specific business purpose it will not use that information other than for that purpose or for such related purposes as a reasonable person would expect the data to be used. Elders Forestry may obtain access to personal information collected by financial advisors or its proper authority holders in the course of providing services. Elders Forestry treats that data as strictly confidential and does not use or copy that data for any purpose other than that for which it is provided. Elders Forestry may use data collected to supply information about new investment products or related marketing material.
Data Security
Access to personal information is restricted to authorised employees and agents of Elders Forestry for Elder's business purposes and based on our employees and agents need to know.
Disclosure
Members of the Elders Forestry Group share administrative services with each other and personal information may be exchanged with the Group for those purposes and for the purposes of providing an integrated service to its clients. Elders Forestry uses third parties to perform some activities on its behalf including marketing and IT maintenance and personal information may be disclosed to those third parties for the purpose of performing those activities. Elders Forestry takes precautions to ensure that contractors are aware of Elder's obligations under the Privacy Act and comply with those obligations.
Access to Information
If you require access to personal information about you held by Elders Forestry you should contact us (see below). Elders Forestry will, so far as it is able, provide that information to you within two weeks of your formal request on payment of Elder's costs of retrieving and compiling that information (if any). Elders Forestry will not provide information if, as is permitted under the National Privacy Principles, your request is frivolous or vexatious or in Elder's reasonable opinion to do so would endanger another person. |
