Corporate Priority
To recognise health and safety management as among the highest corporate priorities and to establish policies, programs and practices for conducting operations in a safe manner.
Integrated Management
To integrate these policies, programs and practices into an Integrated Management System that also incorporates Environmental Management; Forest Stewardship Council requirements and is accredited to AS4801Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems.
Continual Improvement
To adopt a process of continual improvement by periodically reviewing policies, programs and safety performance, taking into account client needs, community expectation, legal requirements and developments in technology.
Health and Safety Impact
To set objectives and targets that aim to minimise workplace injury, illness and incident rates, and to routinely monitor and assess the health and safety of workers.
Risk Management
To continually identify, evaluate and control the health and safety impacts before, during and after conducting operations.
Training
To provide employees, contractors and suppliers with information and training in the use of the company's Integrated Management System and motivate them to conduct their activities in an safe manner.
Communications
To foster openness and discussion with employees and interested parties, anticipating and responding to their concerns about the potential health and safety impacts of the Company's operations.
Compliance and Reporting
To comply and exceed the requirements of all applicable Acts, Regulations, Standards and Codes of Practice that relate to our activities and to measure, audit and assess health and safety performance against company and legal requirements; and periodically provide appropriate information to the Board of Directors, shareholders, clients, employees, and the public.
Review
This policy will be reviewed annually as part of the management review meeting process and updated accordingly.
